In 2014, Walakewon Blegay created the community TV show “Chat With a Lawyer” for audiences in Prince George’s County. Through the show, Blegay hopes to educate residents on their rights in a number of arenas, including employment, real estates, wills and trusts, and more.

Blegay is an adjunct professor in labor law at American University and is a board member of Emerge Maryland, on organization that teaches women how to run for office.

She previously served on the Prince George’s County Human Relations Commission.
