Dr. Leana Wen has led innovation around the country as she has addressed health issues in Baltimore, including maternal-child well-being, gun violence and opioid addiction.
In March 2016, Wen was invited to speak on a White House panel about Baltimore’s efforts to stop addiction.
Wen serves on the Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee. She also serves as a mentor with the National Stuttering Foundation and volunteers with Starfish Greathearts, which helps children orphaned by HIV/AIDS in South Africa.
