Baltimore Boxing Club sees rise in interest
Jake "The Snake" Smith, owner of the Baltimore Boxing Club in Fells Point, says he's seen more interest in boxing over the past year. Smith, who is also promoting the Fed Hill Fight Fest at M&T Bank Stadium Saturday, said that many young people are attracted to the sport because of mixed martial arts, but often get hooked on boxing.
Chazz Palminteri wants to bring ‘life-alteringly good’ pizza to Baltimore
Actor and writer Chazz Palminteri, known for movies such as "A Bronx Tale" and "The Usual Suspects," has opened his pizza restaurant in Harbor East, along with Sergio Vitale and Alessandro Vitale, of Aldo's Ristorante. Palminteri spoke to The Daily Record about the concept for the restaurant and his dedication to offering guests what Sergio Vitale calls "life-alteringly good" pizza.
