Plaxen Adler Muncy, P.A.
Samantha Dos Santos, a partner at Plaxen Adler Muncy, P.A., applied to law school without knowing a single attorney. She navigated the application process, negotiated a scholarship and chose her career path without mentorship or ties to other attorneys. “It’s also why I value mentorship so greatly now that I am a practicing attorney,” Dos Santos said.
Dos Santos joined Plaxen Adler Muncy, P.A. in Columbia in 2019 and was elevated to partner in 2024. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jeannie J. Hong in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. She attended George Washington University and earned her law degree cum laude from American University’s Washington College of Law.
Her practice centers around personal injury matters, including motor vehicle collisions, premises liability and dog bites. Beyond her caseload, Dos Santos frequently presents and publishes articles on topics related to the Maryland Public Information Act, prelitigation investigation strategies and drafting motions in litigation. She has been recognized as a Rising Star in both Maryland and Washington, D.C. An active member of the Maryland State Bar Association, she serves on the Board of Governors and as vice chair of the Leadership Academy.
In 2025, the former college softball player served as the keynote speaker at George Washington University’s Student-Athlete Networking Forum, where she highlighted the shared qualities between athletic and professional success — discipline, resilience and teamwork. Through those engagements and ongoing mentorship, she has guided several student-athletes as they consider law school and future legal careers.
After her collegiate softball career ended, Dos Santos took up indoor cycling and plans to become a cycling instructor when Club Studio opens in Rockville.
