Contour Airlines to return to BWI
Contour Airlines, an independent regional passenger carrier, plans to operate 10 weekly roundtrip flights between BWI Marshall Airport and Middle Georgia Regional Airport this summer, BWI officials announced Thursday.
Starting June 9, the new Contour service will operate daily, with additional frequencies on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, according to BWI.
The airline will return to the Baltimore area after discontinuing flights last spring, when Contour announced the launch of a nonstop service from the Macon, Georgia, area to Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia.
“We are excited to renew our partnership and welcome back Contour,” BWI Airport Executive Director and CEO Shannetta Griffin said in a statement.
“The airline’s return is a direct response to the travel needs of our shared passengers. The service offers additional efficient travel options for both business and leisure customers.”
Contour’s flight service ran between BWI Marshall and Macon from August 2017 to April 2025.
“Contour Airlines is committed to growing alongside the communities we serve,” Contour Airlines President Ben Munson said in a statement.
“We’ve heard from travelers across Middle Georgia who have been asking for the return of Baltimore service.”
