In a follow-up of an previous announcement in early January, the Maryland Judiciary plans to launch its new-look Case Search and record portal on March 14, the court system confirmed Tuesday.
The new portal, which the state judiciary said reflects its “commitment to use technology effectively and responsibly,” will redesign and integrate the existing Maryland Case Search and the Maryland Judiciary Record Search, according to a release.
The redesigned site will provide information on public case records and the same public access to additional material available through the existing Maryland Case Search – a searchable database of state court cases.
“Attorneys and authorized case parties will be provided the same enhanced level of case access currently available through the Maryland Judiciary Record Search, including detailed case information and documents,” the judiciary said in a statement.
The Maryland Judiciary originally set the launch of its new site for the first Friday in January.
According to an FAQ posted by the judiciary, lawyers should expect some upgrades to the user interface and will notice more considerable changes to Case Search than members of the public.
