A new store is set to soon open at Plaza in Northwest , announced Tuesday.

A grand opening event is scheduled at the storefront on Jan. 9 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., according to Comcast. The event will include a ribbon-cutting, food and beverages, prizes and giveaways.

Located at 6538 Reisterstown Road, the new storefront features what Comcast officials call “an interactive design that allows Baltimoreans to experience the complete line of Xfinity and NOW products and services.”

The new store will become Xfinity’s third Baltimore City location and eighth Baltimore-area site.

“The new Xfinity Store at Reisterstown Plaza is a welcome addition to the community and it’s exciting to see Comcast making it even more convenient for residents to experience the latest broadband solutions,” Baltimore City Councilman Isaac Schleifer said.

The Xfinity Store in Reisterstown Plaza is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to Comcast.

Xfinity, the telecommunications business segment and division of the Comcast Corp., offers internet, mobile services, a video platform, home solutions and more.

“We’re thrilled to welcome residents to our interactive new storefront to check out our latest products and services – from fast, reliable WiFi to Xfinity Mobile to smart home solutions,” said Ray Roundtree, Comcast’s regional senior vice president.

“This is an exciting milestone as we continue to invest in Baltimore City and deepen our commitment to local residents and businesses.”
