AnguillAir launching flight service from Baltimore to Anguilla Dec. 19
AnguillAir, operated by airline BermudAir, announced the launch of its first-ever direct flight service from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to the Caribbean island of Anguilla starting Friday, Dec. 19.
The route will be operated on Embraer 190 aircraft, which features a spacious 2-by-2 seating configuration with no middle seats, aiming to create a comfortable travel experience, according to AnguillAir.
Following the inaugural BWI flight service Dec. 19, the airline will operate nonstop flights twice a week with departures and returns on Fridays and Mondays, according to a release. Boston and Newark, N.J., are other cities along the Northeast Corridor where AnguillAir plans to expand its service to.
“We are thrilled to welcome AnguillAir’s inaugural flight and celebrate this milestone in Anguilla’s aviation landscape,” said Cardigan Connor, Anguilla’s minister of health, sports and tourism.
“This partnership with BermudAir brings an unprecedented level of accessibility and comfort for our visitors, strengthening Anguilla’s appeal for both leisure and luxury travelers.”
The recently announced direct flights from major East Coast cities reflect AnguillAir’s efforts in creating a convenient traveling experience, while representing potential advancement for the island’s tourism growth.
