CFG Bank

Jack Dwyer serves as CEO of CFG Bank, the largest bank headquartered in Baltimore, where he has cultivated a family-oriented company culture grounded in listening and accessibility. His open-door leadership philosophy emphasizes the well-being of every team member as part of his extended family.

Under Dwyer’s leadership, CFG Bank provides comprehensive employee benefits including generous paid time off, strong 401(k) matching and 100% employer-paid health coverage, childcare and dog daycare. The organization relocated its headquarters to Baltimore Peninsula, designed with employee input to feature gathering spaces, rooftop greens, a lounge and an indoor sports simulator. The Live Near Your Work program offers team members up to $7,500 in homeownership assistance, while the Sweet Talks initiative connects employees with local partners to foster
community engagement.

When the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed, Dwyer launched the Maryland Tough Baltimore Strong Money Market Accounts, enabling customers to donate portions of their earned interest while CFG Bank matched contributions up to $500,000 for recovery and resilience efforts. The bank’s naming rights partnership with CFG Bank Arena has established a nationally recognized, top-grossing venue that serves as a catalyst for downtown renewal.

Dwyer’s community focus stems from how education and recreation kept him grounded growing up. In 2021, he co-founded the Jack and Nancy Dwyer Workforce Development nonprofit to create health care career opportunities for underserved individuals while addressing the workforce crisis. He has served on the National Aquarium’s Board of Directors since 2019 and donated $3 million to its Harbor Wetland Exhibit, restoring Chesapeake Bay habitat. He also supports The Maryland Zoo, Hippodrome Theatre, Mother Mary Lange Catholic School and Helping Up Mission.

Dwyer lives by a quote from Will Guidara’s “Unreasonable Hospitality”: “A leader’s role isn’t only to motivate and uplift; sometimes it’s to earn the trust of your team by being human with them.”
