Cool & Associates, LLC
Veronica Namnum Cool is the chief executive officer and founder of Cool & Associates, LLC, a bilingual outreach and strategy firm that builds bridges between diverse communities and the institutions that serve them.
Over more than a decade, Cool has positioned her firm as a trusted partner to corporations, nonprofits, government agencies and educational institutions seeking to authentically engage Latino and multicultural audiences. The firm helps clients expand market share and build inclusive talent pipelines. Cool created the Hispanic Engagement Toolkit, a turnkey resource that equips organizations with tools to engage Latino communities authentically.
Cool’s commitment to mentorship gained national recognition through her 2009 Big Brothers Big Sisters relationship with Justina “Tina” Colvin. First Lady Michelle Obama referenced their mentorship during the 2011 National Mentoring Summit, choosing it to launch the Corporate Mentoring Challenge. “This particular example underscores my belief that true leadership extends beyond titles—it happens when we invest in others’ potential, especially young people who face systemic barriers,” Cool said.
While Cool has received recognition as a banker in corporate America and later as an entrepreneur, she considers her most meaningful honor delivering Namnun Ladder #51 to the southern Dominican Republic. Cool and her family donated the only ladder fire engine in the southern Dominican Republic to honor her late father, a courageous firefighter whose unwavering dedication to service shaped her core values.
As president of the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Cool transformed the organization into a catalyst for Latino economic growth, expanding access to resources for the state’s 50,000 Latino businesses. She co-founded Maryland Latinos Unidos, a statewide advocacy organization that builds infrastructure for Latino-serving nonprofits.
Cool’s professional creativity lies in navigating and reshaping systems that weren’t built for people like her, using data, storytelling and strategy to open new doors.
“At every step, I have fought to ensure that Maryland’s Latino community is not simply visible—but influential,” Cool said. “My work isn’t done.”
