Raphael J Santini, PA

Santini began his legal career at 25 as a commissioner and became a Maryland Bar member in 1987, the same year he founded his law practice. Over nearly four decades, he has built extensive relationships throughout Maryland’s legal community while developing expertise across multiple practice areas.
His leadership trajectory includes serving as immediate president of the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association from 2017 to 2018, followed by his election as Maryland State Bar Association president for 2024-2025. Previously, he chaired the Governor’s Commission on Hispanic Affairs and served as legal advisor to the Baltimore City Hispanic Advisory Committee.
Santini’s firm operates as a family practice, with his daughter Annamaria joining as an associate after completing a clerkship with the Honorable Nancy Purpura in Baltimore County Circuit Court and serving four years as an assistant state’s attorney in Baltimore County. The practice emphasizes personal attention to each case, recognizing that legal issues can create stress and uncertainty for clients.
His mentoring extends to advising junior attorneys on courtroom procedures, practices and business development. This commitment to professional development reflects his broader engagement with the legal community through extensive board service.
Santini maintains active involvement with 11 organizations, including trustee positions at Archbishop Curley and Notre Dame of Maryland University. He has served in leadership roles with the Baltimore County Bench Bar Committee, Baltimore County Bar Association Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and Maryland Criminal Defense Association. Currently, he sits on the Maryland Board of Governors.
Recent recognition includes the 2025 Governor Wes Moore Citation of Appreciation for his MSBA presidency and a 2024 Maryland General Assembly Office Citation for his election as MSBA president. He will receive the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association Outstanding Achievement Award in September 2025.
