M&T Bank

Gamero’s most significant accomplishment has been the expansion of multicultural banking in the region. She has played a leading role in shaping how the bank serves diverse communities, ensuring its outreach, education and services reflect the cultural and linguistic needs of customers. Her work has deepened the bank’s presence in underserved areas, built long-term partnerships with mission-aligned nonprofits and positioned the institution as a trusted community partner.
Gamero has served as both a formal and informal mentor to employees across the bank, particularly Latino bankers seeking career advancement. Through M&T’s Management Development Program, she guided several mentees who remain with the bank in leadership roles, including one who now oversees customer experience initiatives. Her mentorship has helped shape talent pipelines and encouraged broader representation in leadership positions.
Her leadership extends beyond banking through strategic community partnerships. Gamero’s introduction to the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation led to the creation of Spanish-language Small Business Accelerator programs that continue supporting local entrepreneurs. She also served as a bilingual judge for their pitch competition and works internally with the multicultural banking team to evaluate and improve Spanish-language materials and customer resources.
Gamero maintains active volunteer commitments with Autism Speaks, where she serves on the Executive Leadership Committee, the Latin American Youth Center and Sunflower Bakery, coordinating workforce development programs for neurodiverse adults.
