Quincy R. Boyd serves as chief of staff at Prince George’s County Public Schools, one of the nation’s 20th-largest school districts with 20,000 employees. Boyd supervises 50 employees in her current role, which she has held since 2023.

Boyd earned an Ed.M. in education policy and management from Harvard University in 2016 and a B.A. in sociology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2011. Before joining Prince George’s County Public Schools, Boyd held several positions in educational leadership. From 2022 to 2023, she served as executive director of strategic initiatives at Houston Independent School District. She worked as regional director at Leadership ISD from 2020 to 2022 and as managing director of programs at Families Empowered from 2017 to 2020. Boyd also served as an admissions officer at Harvard University from 2013 to 2015.

Boyd holds several advisory positions within the community, including advisory board member at the Latin American Youth Center, advisory council member at Hillside and member of Prince George’s County Children’s Cabinet. She mentored a former student member of the board who attended Towson University and assumed multiple leadership roles on campus.

“As a first-generation college graduate and proud alumna of Harvard University, serving as Chief of Staff at PGCPS is both a personal milestone and a profound honor,” Boyd said. “As the first woman and the youngest to ever hold this role, I bring a lived understanding of equity and resilience, shaping policies that expand opportunity and inspire impact.”

Boyd emphasized her commitment to educational transformation. ‘I am committed to inspiring transformative change at Prince George’s County Public Schools and across our county by championing educational excellence rooted in equity, access, and community voice,’ she said. ‘Honoring the county’s rich cultural heritage and legacy of Black leadership, I strive to uplift every student and family through intentional engagement, inclusive policies and opportunities that reflect our shared values.’
