She worked as a freelance content strategist and digital marketer from 2020 to 2021 before establishing Agency 102 in 2021.
“Since 2021, I founded and grew a successful marketing agency before turning 30, despite only ~2% of agencies being women-led and nearly 50% of small businesses failing within five years,” Mizelle said. “Recently, I became a first-time mom while continuing to lead my team, proving that impact and leadership can thrive alongside motherhood.”
Mizelle has maintained active involvement in professional organizations, serving as a volunteer marketing committee member for the Financial Planning Association of Maryland since 2024. She has contributed to community development through volunteer work, including leading seminars for the Financial Planning Association of Maryland, Ink and Numbers women’s networking group and local chambers of commerce. In 2016, she served as a strategic marketing consultant for South Harbor Renaissance, a Baltimore-based nonprofit responsible for maintaining Federal Hill Park, developing a comprehensive strategic marketing plan as part of Georgetown University’s graduate capstone program.
“I’m deeply committed to inspiring change by proving, through action, that women-led companies are not only viable, but powerful, profitable and transformative,” Mizelle said. “I founded my agency as a space where leadership is rooted in integrity, collaboration, and impact.”
Mizelle received the Madison Writing Awards from James Madison University in 2011. She distinguishes herself through her commitment to building a thriving small business from the ground up, leading with grit, passion and determination while proving that impactful leadership can be cultivated at any scale. Mizelle defines success by the positive change brought to both industry and community.
