Auto body shop acquires $2M property, relocating in PG County
City Side Auto Body has purchased a near-10,000-square-foot multiuse building in Prince George’s County with hopes of relocating into the vacant space, according to officials with MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services.
MacKenzie recently negotiated the sale of 8150 Cryden Way in District Heights to City Side Auto Body for $2.035 million. Located in nearby Clinton, City Side Auto Body is a woman-owned and operated establishment specializing in auto body and collision repair services.
The business also offers brake, engine, suspension, wheel repair and automobile painting. As City Side Auto Body gears up for relocation, it plans on converting 8150 Cryden Way to an auto body shop so the company can continue and expand its services.
“Nearly ready-to-move industrial buildings of this size are hard to come by in this section of Prince George’s County, and the new owner has acquired an asset that can be easily retrofitted to handle its operations,” MacKenzie executive Bryan Herr said.
“The five drive-in bays can be configured to support auto repair uses and the existing office space is perfectly suited for the company’s administrative requirements. City Side Auto Body purchased this well-maintained asset at below replacement cost.”
Almost 2,000 square feet within 8150 Cryden Way is designated to support office space as the building features five drive-in bays. The building is less than a mile from MD Route 4, less than two miles from Interstate 495, and about five miles from Washington, D.C.
