Community Lending, a local financial institution that provides assistance to small businesses in across the region, announced it will soon open its new headquarters.

The organization’s new main office will be at 301 N. Calvert Street in downtown Baltimore.

“The Business Development and Resource Center (BD&RC) embodies our deep commitment to fostering economic growth and community revitalization. Through this dedicated hub, we aim to strengthen Baltimore’s ecosystem by empowering entrepreneurs, creating jobs, and driving economic opportunity,” BCL President and CEO Watchen Harris Bruce said in a news release.

BCL officials, stakeholders and community members will celebrate with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to noon at its new headquarters site. State and local leaders, including Gov. , Mayor , former Sen. , state Sen. Antonio Hayes and Baltimore City councilmembers, are expected be in attendance.

“The new headquarters marks a bold step forward in BCL’s ongoing commitment to advancing economic equity, supporting small businesses and strengthening underserved communities across Baltimore,” BCL said in a release, which also noted that the unveiling ceremony will honor the legacy of industry leader and community advocate Frank Coakley.
