Who have been the biggest mentors in your career?
I have had several great professional mentors, but the most important teacher in my life has been my father. The empathy and grace he demonstrates in looking after others is inspiring. In addition, beyond just talking about it, he models the behavior he strives to instill in myself and others — he walks the walk.
What are your hopes for the state or your community this year?
Statistics back up the fact that our city grows safer by the day, so I hope the world begins to see all of the assets our region has, including a top workforce, great educational and health care institutions, a world-class port and many others. I am proud to work for an organization dedicated to supporting the measures that will help our community meet that goal.
