Born and raised in Baltimore, Kate Hodges is an owner and attorney at the Law Office of Thomas S. Hood, P.A. Her caseload focuses on workers compensation, medical malpractice claims, criminal misdemeanors and felonies, personal injury cases, unemployment matters, and business litigation.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from McDaniel College and her legal degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. For six years, she served as an attorney at Hood & Hodges PA and in 2019, became an owner/attorney at the Law Office of Thomas S. Hood, P.A.
What do you consider your most significant professional accomplishment to be?
I consider owning my own law firm my most significant professional accomplishment. I took ownership in February 2020, right before the pandemic, and had to learn to think on my feet. I am proud of the authentic way we practice law, the justice we have obtained for our clients, and the connections we have made both with our clients but also in our legal and local community.
Do you have a quote you live by?
“Improvise, Adapt, Overcome” ~ my father, Thomas Hood My dad has always supported and encouraged me. When something doesn’t go quite the way you expected or wanted, you need to be ready to pivot and figure it out. I have now taught this quote to my children, and I hope it encourages them to keep challenging themselves as well.
