In her work, whether it is in the professional or community setting, Candace Chance aims to redefine what’s possible.
In 2017, she founded the process and strategy design company, The V.P.I. (Vision Performance Impact) Firm, which focuses on innovative and equitable community development initiatives.
The Goucher College graduate holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in cultural sustainability. She previously served as the co-founder and managing partner of the Baltimore Collaboration Lab, founder and executive director of Be BOLD (Bringing Our Leaders from Dreamers) and program director and interim director for The Parks & People Foundation.
Dedicated to creating an impact, Chance has volunteered her time with several area organizations, including as a member of the advisory board for Project Change Now and CLLCTIVLY and board member for Baltimore City Pennsylvania Avenue Arts and Entertainment District.
When asked about her commitment to inspiring change, Chance notes community transformation is more than a pledge. For her, it is a way of life. “The commitment is not because it’s something that I want to do,” she said. “It is something that I am compelled to do.”
