Maryland tech firms will power federal website search capability

A team of Maryland companies won a contract to develop search capabilities on federal websites.

Team Fearless, made of Fearless Solutions LLC of Baltimore and Ad Hoc LLC of Silver Spring, won the five-year development contract to develop the General Services Administration’s Search.gov service, which supports nearly 2,000 search boxes on federal websites, Fearless announced. The contract is worth approximately $1.2 million in its first year, according to the GSA.

Under the contract, the team plans to add features to Search.gov. The team will also provide technical support and manage the underlying infrastructure.

The two companies are also working together on development efforts to improve the usability of medical information downloaded using the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ and the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Blue Button feature, and an application programming interface for accountable care organizations at CMS.
