Jessica Kartalija is part of the first two-woman evening anchor team in Baltimore.

She co-anchors with Mary Bubala.

“Mary and I both have kids, we both work full-time and we’re both showing that Baltimore is a great place for women to succeed in the workplace and at home,” Kartalija said.

Kartalija, 35, also is pursuing a master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University. She serves as a board member of the House of Ruth Maryland and is an adjunct instructor at Stevenson University.

As a Baltimore Rising Star Ambassador, she works with The Living Classrooms Foundation to inspire young people. She has also volunteered with Special Olympic athletes.
