CNB names Allen as president

CNB, a Centerville-based bank with eight Maryland branches on the Eastern Shore, has appointed Edward C. Allen as president and chief executive officer, effective immediately, CNB announced. Allen, who had been chief financial officer, replaces F. Winfield Trice Jr., who resigned after seven years. Allen joined CNB as CFO and previously served as CFO at Independence Bank. In addition, CNB appointed Lynn Payne as CFO. Payne previously served as CFO at Prince George’s Federal Savings Bank. CNB, which also has three branches in Delaware, is one of the two banking subsidiaries of Shore Bancshares Inc.
