Spadaro joins FutureCare as COO

Spadaro will work closely with the CEO and leadership teams at the home office and in the facilities helping to lead the company’s overall operations and to ensure the highest quality of care and customer service. In addition, he is charged with identifying and guiding strategic business opportunities and leading a variety of company initiatives.
Spadaro has been involved in the long-term care industry for over 19 years. He started his career in long-term care in 1994 at Integrated Health Services, which was a pioneering company in the development of sub-acute care services in nursing facilities. At IHS Spadaro held a variety of senior staff and executive positions culminating in vice president of operations. His diverse portfolio of experience working at IHS included working with skilled nursing facilities, long-term acute care hospitals, hospice, a Medicare Part B billing company and a variety of corporate departments.
For the past ten years he was a region vice president for Mariner Health Care and SavaSeniorCare, which acquired Mariner Health Care. At SavaSeniorCare, Spadaro was responsible for the quality of care and operations for a portfolio of 17 facilities in five states, including Maryland. Spadaro is also a licensed nursing home administrator. He is past chairman and current vice chairman of the Health Facilities Association of Maryland and the chairman of HFAM’s political action committee.
Spadaro earned his undergraduate degree in public policy from Bethany College in Bethany, W.V. He has a master’s degree in industrial relations from St. Francis College in Loretto, Pa., and an MBA from Loyola College in Maryland.
