Dr. Nancy Glass has been named to The ‘s National Advisory Counsel.

Glass is currently the principal investigator of five federally funded multidisciplinary research studies to test employment, economic empowerment and safety interventions to improve the health and well being of gender-based violence survivors, youth and their families.

In her role on the National Advisory Counsel, Glass will use her years of global research and experience to help guide the One Love Foundation as it grows to become a national voice against . As a foundation spokesperson, Glass will work to enhance the organization’s educational programs and work to implement them throughout the United States.

Glass is currently an associate professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and an Associate Director for Johns Hopkins Center for Global Health. Glass is involved in research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Population, Refugee and Migration. The BPRM is a funded partnership with the United Nations High Commission on Refugees. Through these research studies and others, she collaborates with investigators across multiple disciplines and institutions as well as partners with community experts and organizations to conduct studies to improve health, safety, and economic stability for women, families and communities.

Dr. Glass also consults with the Caribbean Exploratory Research Center based at the University of Virgin Islands, to develop and implement a culturally competent gender-based violence prevention intervention for Haitian woman and girls displaced from the earthquake.
