Columbia-based Osiris Therapeutics’ profit, revenue up slightly

Osiris Therapeutics Inc. of , which uses adult stem cells to treat damaged tissues and cardiovascular disease, reported little change in its and revenue during the second quarter.

Net income was $1.8 million, or 5 cents per diluted share, compared to $1.7 million, or 5 cents per diluted share, in the year-ago period.

Revenue inched up, to $10.4 million from $10.3 million in the prior-year quarter, primarily from the amortization of license fees from its collaboration agreements, the company said.
