Frederick County commisioners drop their pensions

FREDERICK — The Frederick County Commissioners are quitting the county’s employee pension plan.
The all-Republican board voted Thursday to eliminate pension eligibility for themselves and future commissioners.
Board President Blaine Young says the change will save $40,000 per year.
